Franklin-based medical device maker PLC Systems Inc. reported a first quarter net loss of $686,000 on total revenue of $1.5 million.
The company’s revenue for the first quarter of 2006 was $1.8 million. Also during that period, the company reported net income of $1.3 million.
PLC said the first quarter 2006 positive net income was the result of a $1.4 million gain from the sale of its Optiwave disposable manufacturing rights to the Edwards Lifesciences Corp.
