New England Peptide LLC , the Gardner-based maker of custom peptides for the drug and vaccine discovery industry, has gone lean.
The company has decided to implement lean manufacturing practices at its facility in order to increase capacity and decrease production lead time. The company hopes going lean will allow more peptides to be made in less time, while improving organization and safety.
The company is working with the Greater Boston Manufacturing Partnership to train employees on the principles of lean manufacturing.
