Vivox Inc., a Natick-based cross-platform communication applications provider, has acquired a San Francisco Bay Area manufacturer of mobile video software.
The company, Droplet Inc., of Palo Alto, Calif., will augment Vivox’s communication capabilities, strengthening its video chat technology while minimizing bandwidth, processing resources and power needed from the mobile network and technology devices.
“Vivox is building on its history of improving the communication experience for consumers and carriers alike,” said Vivox CEO Rob Seaver. “We are committed to providing a high-quality video communications solution for consumers that complements our existing superior voice services.”
