Natick-based cloud storage company TwinStrata Inc. has closed an $8 million funding round led by Avalon Ventures.
TwinStrata makes systems under the name CloudArray that let customers store and back up data with public or private cloud storage providers.
Avalon Ventures has offices in Cambridge and La Jolla, Calif. TwinStrata said it will use the money to expand its sales and marketing efforts. The company said the funding demonstrates investors’ confidence in the company’s ability to grow.
TwinStrata also recently announced distribution partnerships with DataCore and Veeam that will make the CloudArray systems available to more customers.
