Future Goals
1. Connect more than 15,000 audience members from Central Massachusetts & beyond with world-renowned orchestras, soloists, and ensembles spanning the classical, jazz, folk, world music, and dance genres over the course of 23 different events during the 2026-2027 season
2. Feature the work of the 2026-2027 Artist-in-Residence Dr. Everett McCorvey through concerts and school/community partnerships including public events on November 1 & 6 and January 26 & 27.
3. Bring professional musicians, including visiting international artists, to schools throughout Greater Worcester to conduct master classes with middle and high school students
4. Hold 12 concerts as part of the third year of THE COMPLETE BACH, the 11-year project to present live performances of all of J.S. Bach’s works, including two festival weekends BACHtoberfest (Oct. 23-25, 2026) and Bach’s Birthday Bash (March 19-21, 2027)
5. Increase access and reduce barriers to Music Worcester performances through programs including Card to Culture and Tickets to Opportunity, with at least 10% of total ticket count reflecting these efforts.
Fundraising Opportunities
Music Worcester has no specific fundraising events planned for the 2026-2027 season; however, all tickets purchased to concerts and events help support the organization’s mission. In particular, Music Worcester will offer Pay What You Wish ticketing at nine concerts where ticket buyers have the opportunity to select higher-priced tickets to help subsidize those who choose lower ticket prices.
Giving Opportunities
Cash donations from individuals and businesses are welcome year-round through two major appeals (winter and summer) to support the organization’s performances and educational activities. Sponsorship opportunities for businesses and individuals exist for concerts and major programs, including the Artist-in-Residence program with Dr. Everett McCorvey and the 11-year THE COMPLETE BACH project. Music Worcester regularly seeks in-kind donations related to hospitality for the artists it welcomes to Worcester throughout the year, including meals, bottles of water, hotel rooms, and transportation to regional airports and train stations.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer ushers assist at concerts and events to help Music Worcester deliver the ideal patron experience, welcoming audience members, scanning tickets, distributing programs, and helping patrons find their seats. Volunteers pay no dues and are asked to work at least three events over the course of the year.
