The Massachusetts Medical Society elected University of Massachusetts Medical Group physician Dr. Richard Aghababian secretary-treasurer.
Aghababian, a Harvard and UMass Medical School graduate, will serve a one-year term as secretary-treasurer. He is currently associate dean of continuing medical education and a professor of emergency medicine at UMass in Worcester. He was the department’s chairman between 1992 and 2007.
The Massachsuetts Medical Society is based in Waltham.
