The Canton-based Massachusetts Nurses Association is now affiliated with the National Nurses Union.
Along with the MNA’s 23,000 members, the new National Nurses Union also claims the 86,000-member California Nurses Association and the 45,000-member United American Nurses as members. The NNU claims that it now represents 150,000 nurses in 22 states.
The NNU represents direct care RNs. It is scheduled to hold its founding convention in Arizona in early December.
