Computerworld, an IT management magazine based in Framingham, announced the finalists for its annual “Best Practices in Mobile and Wireless” awards, and of the 20 finalists, none are from Massachusetts.
In fact, the only finalist from New England is the Providence Public Safety Communications Dept., which is up for an award in the “Innovation and Promise” category.
Computerworld will present the awards during a conference in Orlando, Fla. May 21-23.
Other categories include: Business evolution through mobilizing field workers; deploying wireless mobility in the enterprise; and maximizing wireless security to prevent intrusion.
