Marlborough-based Stonewall Solutions has been acquired by North Andover-based xFact.
Focused on software and consulting services for state and local governments, Stonewall will now operate under the xFact name, according to a company announcement made Tuesday.
Stonewall has clients across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, Mississippi, and Vermont, providing services including IT modernization, Microsoft 365 services, and custom application development since its founding in 2004. In addition to its Marlborough headquarters, Stonewall has a development office in Pawtucket and a data center in Providence.
“Their team brings deep technical talent, long-tenured customer relationships, and a set of capabilities, particularly in IT modernization and content and case management, that complement and extend what xFact does today,” Jeff Valentine, CEO of xFact, said in the announcement.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed, but funding for the transaction was provided by Renovus Capital Partners, a Pennsylvania-based private equity firm focused on the knowledge and talent sectors.
xFact was founded in 2000 and focuses on infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, and strategy for government clients. The company merged with Ohio-based IT and cybersecurity firm DataServ in 2025, according to an announcement at the time.
