Marlboro-based voice and data networking products company 3Com Corp. reported its third-quarter 2007 loss narrowed to $4.78 million.
In the previous year, the company reported a loss of $32.8 million.
The company’s third-quarter sales jumped to $323.4 million from $177.6 million in the third quarter of 2006.
Operating income for the company was $10.1 million.
3Com also said it received final approval from the Chinese government to buy Huawei Technologies’ 49 percent stake in the Huawei-3Com Ltd. joint venture.
The company said the $882 million deal is expected to close March 29, and would give 3-Com full ownership of Huawei-3Com.
