An executive who began his career with Saint-Gobain in Worcester 30 years ago has been named president of Worcester-based Saint-Gobain Abrasives .
John Crowe comes back to Worcester from a three-year stint as president of Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics in Aurora, Ohio.
Saint-Gobain Abrasives has 13,000 employees and 75 manufacturing facilities in 24 countries. Its global headquarters is in Worcester. Crowe joined the Norton Co. in Worcester, which was bought by Saint-Gobain in 1990, in 1978 as an engineer.
