Marlboro-based Lightbridge Inc. reported $16.3 million in first quarter 2007 revenue, up 21 percent from the same period a year ago.
The company reported net income of $1.9 million for the quarter. Net income for the first quarter of 2006 was $1.6 million.
The quarter’s net income figure was helped by the company’s sale of its Telecom Decisioning Services business, which sold for $1.4 million in February.
The sale also cost the company $488,000 in compensation expenses and $148,000 in restructuring charges due to staff dismissals.
Lightbridge’s first quarter results were in line with its guidance issued in February.
The company, which markets sale transaction processing software, expects second quarter revenue between $16.6 and $17.4 million.
