Jon Kingsdale, executive director of the Connector Authority, which runs the state-sponsored marketplace for health insurance plans, will step down in June and Glen Shor, state assistant secretary for health care policy, will take over.
Gov. Deval Patrick’s office announced the shake up and credited Kingsdale with helping to connect about 200,000 residents who did not have coverage with health insurance over the past four years.
Shor, who served as an assistant secretary in the executive office of administration and finance, has also served as general counsel in the finance and administration office. He has helped to shape many of the Connector’s programs and policies since it began in 2006, Patrick’s office said.
