IPG Photonics Corp., a fiber laser maker based in Oxford, named industry veteran Bill Shiner vice president of industrial markets.
Shiner will be responsible for developing IPG’s industrial sales and “fostering customer loyalty worldwide,” the company said.
Shiner has worked for IPG since 2002. He is also the president of the Laser Institute of America, and the author of several articles and books on laser design and operation.
Shiner is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston.
