Beverly-based Rucker Investments, which has a substantial Worcester-based portfolio, has grown its senior leadership team with one new hire and two promotions to newly created roles.Â
The firm’s Worcester-related portfolio includes Worcester Railers Hockey Club, the Worcester Palladium, Off The Rails music venue and restaurant, Auxilium Worcester business incubator and accelerator, the Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center, and Pulse Magazine.Â
Matt Barr has joined the firm as chief revenue officer. Barr joins Rucker Investments from his role as founding member of Breezeway’s sales team, Rucker announced on Monday. Breezeway is a Boston-based software firm helping rental property owners with property care, operations, and messaging.
In addition to Barr’s hiring, Rucker promoted Jennifer Barys to CFO and Joseph Morales to senior vice president and general counsel.Â
Barys joined Rucker Investments in 2022 from Westford-based medical equipment manufacturer Cynosure, according to her LinkedIn profile, having previously served as Rucker Investment’s vice president of finance.Â
Morales was promoted from the role of vice president & general counsel, having joined Rucker Investments from New Hampshire-based law firm McLane Middleton, where he served as chair of its sports practice group.
Barr graduated from Bentley University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and computer information systems. Barys holds a bachelor’s in business administration, accounting from UMass Amherst’s Isenberg School of Management, while Morales received his law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law.Â
The trio will assist Rucker as it continues to pursue new investments and grow its portfolio. Â
