A few months after Insulet named former Johnson & Johnson executive Ashley McEvoy as its CEO in April, the Acton-based medical device manufacturer selected another fellow former J&J senior official as its new CFO.
Flavia Pease became Insulet’s executive vice president and CFO on Sept. 30, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
Pease replaces former CFO Ana Chadwick, who joined Insulet in March 2024. Chadwick stayed with the firm as an adviser since September and officially left the company on Feb. 27, according to a March 4 SEC filing.
Pease comes to Insulet having most recently served as executive vice president and CFO at Charles River Laboratories, a Wilmington-based biotech firm.
Before that, she worked at New Jersey-based Johnson & Johnson from 1998 to 2022, ending her 24-year career with the firm as its vice president and group CFO for its medical device business in April 2022. During her tenure, Pease served in financial leadership roles across the company and its subsidiaries, including vice president, finance for its pharmaceutical company Janssen Pharmaceuticals and Mentor Worldwide, a breast implant manufacturer, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Pease’s J&J tenure overlapped with McEvoy, who worked at the New Jersey-based firm from 1996 to 2023, ending her nearly 30-year career as executive vice president and worldwide chairman of the company’s MedTech business. Now at Insulet, McEvoy is the only woman serving as CEO of a Central Massachusetts public company.
In August, Insulet appointed Eric Benjamin as its new COO and Manoj Raghunandanan as the manufacturer’s inaugural chief growth officer. On Monday, the company brought back its chief commercial officer role, naming Mike Panos to the position.
