Americans’ income rose by 0.7 percent in March, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce.
The gain was more than the 0.5 percent economists expected. The department also revised its February income gain figure up to 0.7 percent.
Consumer spending rose 0.3 percent, according to the department. Also, core prices fell 2.1 percent from March of last year. Overall prices rose 2.4 percent over last year.
