The Hanover Insurance Group Inc. said it has launched a new ocean cargo protection line for goods being transported by vessel or air.
The line is a response to a growing number of clients that have goods in transit that are not covered by standard insurance, the company said.
Hanover said the new policies would cover things like concealed damage, inland transit, non-delivery, storage, damage by natural disasters and “mysterious disappearance.”
