Worcester’s Hanover Insurance Group Inc. has introduced a line of liability insurance for nonprofit agencies.
The plan can be used by nonprofits to cover directors, officers and organizations, as well as employment and fiduciary practices. Hanover said the new coverage is an acknowledgement that nonprofit organizations often face the same liability pitfalls as for-profit corporations.
Hanover said it had assigned specialized underwriting, legal and claims personnel to the new line. The company also has related policies for religious institutions and human services agencies.
