Cambridge-based Genzyme Corp. reported third quarter net income of $159.3 million, a jump from the $15.9 million the company reported for the same period last year.
The increased income came with a jump in third quarter revenue, which increased from $808.5 million last year to $960.1 million this year.
The company said it expects strong growth over the next five years supported by newly approved or acquired oncology drugs, as well as multiple sclerosis drugs that the company called “the most prominent product candidates in its pipeline.”
