Westborough gene research and database company GenomeQuest Inc. has hired Anthony Salerno, a Holy Cross graduate, as its new vice president of strategic business development.
Salerno will be responsible for guiding the company’s entry into “the next generation DNA sequencing bioinformatics market,” the company said. Salerno’s duties will include creating and maintaining ties with vendors.
Prior to joining GenomeQuest, Salerno served as director of strategic business development at Agilent Technologies Inc. in California. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester and studied biochemistry and molecular biology at Harvard University.
