General Electric honored Worcester Polytechnic Institute with its “GE Partnership Award” for its ability to develop talent.
WPI was selected from 40 GE “executive schools” in the United States. The award specifically recognized WPI’s career development center as an “ongoing and significant resource of talent” for GE, according to company officials.
William A. Fitzgerald, vice president and general manager of GE’s aviation services division, presented the award to Jeanette Doyle, director of WPI’s career center, at an awards dinner held Sept. 21. Fitzgerald graduated from WPI in 1983.
