The Friendly Ice Cream Corp. of Wilbraham reported a second-quarter net loss of $288,000 on revenue that actually grew by 0.5 percent to $142.2 million.
Sales at company operated restaurants were flat during the quarter, and posted a 0.3 percent sales decrease, the company said. Three new Friendly’s franchises were opened during the quarter.
Franchise restaurant sales fell 2.7 percent during the quarter, according to the company.
