BJ’s Wholesale Club Inc. members bought food and office supplies to boost the company’s October sales by 9.2 percent compared to last year.
The company said same-store sales increased 4.8 percent for the month. Last October, BJ’s same store sales slid by 0.7 percent.
The Natick-based company said October sales totaled $663.8 million. Food sales were up by about 5 percent, while general merchandise sales were flat, the company said.
