In less than two months, the new state law mandating paid sick time will take effect. Under the 2014 ballot initiative, employers with at least 11 workers must provide up to 40 hours a year of paid sick leave. Are employers informed and ready? Based on last week’s Flash Poll, it appears that just about everyone at least knows something about the pending change.
