Fundraising Opportunities

Fitchburg Art Museum welcomes both one-time and multi-year partnerships that help sustain exhibitions, educational programs, community initiatives, and special events throughout the year.

Businesses, foundations, and individual donors can make a meaningful impact through sponsorships, in-kind donations, auction items, and philanthropic support.

Opportunities include:

• Hidden Treasures – Support this beloved specialized art appreciation program for individuals with early to middle-stage Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia and their caregivers.

• Make Art @ FAM – Sponsor free, multigenerational artmaking experiences that connect families and community members with creativity and learning.

• FAM at Night / First Thursdays – Help provide free evening programs featuring art, music, performances, and community engagement.

• Art in Bloom – Support one of FAM’s most popular annual events, where floral designers interpret works of art throughout the Museum.

• Regional Exhibition of Art & Craft – Invest in a long-standing exhibition that highlights the creativity and talent of artists and makers from across our region.

• Exhibitions and Centennial Programs – Sponsor exhibitions, public programs, and special events that celebrate FAM’s Centennial and expand access to arts and culture for all.

Giving Opportunities

Fitchburg Art Museum welcomes support from individuals, businesses, foundations, and community partners throughout the year. Gifts of every size sustain exhibitions, educational programs, collections, and community initiatives while ensuring the Museum remains a vibrant cultural resource for North Central Massachusetts.

• Annual Fund – Provides flexible, unrestricted support where it is needed most, ensuring art, learning, and creativity remain accessible to all. Donors who contribute $1,000 or more annually join the Norcross Society, honoring founder Eleanor Norcross, and enjoy exclusive experiences and deeper engagement with the Museum.

• Centennial Fund – Supports FAM’s Centennial Campaign, investing in unrestricted operations, collections care, and the Museum’s long-term sustainability.

• Membership – Individual, family, and corporate memberships provide vital annual support while connecting members to exhibitions, programs, and special events.

• Tax-Smart Giving – Support FAM through donor-advised funds, appreciated securities, qualified charitable distributions from IRAs, and other planned gifts.

• In-Kind Contributions – Donations of auction items, professional services, and other resources strengthen fundraising events and special initiatives.

Online donations are welcomed year-round and help ensure FAM remains free, welcoming, and inspiring for generations to come.

Volunteer Opportunities

FAM welcomes interested individuals to participate in our volunteer Museum Guide program of trained art interpreters who give gallery tours to the public and school groups.

FAM also relies on volunteers in various capacities across the offices and galleries. If you are looking to make a difference, FAM invites anyone interested to offer their time, treasure, or talent. No art background is needed to become part of our community.
