According to the U.S. Department of Labor , 373,000 Americans filed for unemployment insurance coverage for the first time during the week ended Feb. 23.
That’s an increase of 19,000 from the previous week’s revised figure of 354,000. The four-week moving average was 360,500, a decrease of 1,250 from the previous week.
