More than one-third of senior managers polled in a recent survey said employees are less productive the week before a major holiday.
The survey, which was conducted by Accountemps, a temporary staffing agency for the accounting and finance industry, found that only 6 percent of managers say employees are actually more productive in the week before a major holiday.
A full 48 percent said there’s no difference in productivity.
Accountemps said it can be difficult for employees to balance personal and work obligations.
