EMC To Open Cloud, Data R&D Site In Russia

EMC Corp. of Hopkinton said it will establish a research and development center in Russia that will focus on cloud computing infrastructure solutions and data analytics technologies for bioinformatics and energy efficiency.
The new facility will be in Skolkovo, near Moscow, and will work with the company's existing R&D facility in St. Petersburg.
EMC also plans to collaborate on cloud and data analytics research projects with Russian universities, government agencies and local and multinational communities in the Skolkovo area.
