Future Goals
To achieve our vision that all people with disabilities are empowered to reach their full potential, our goals are supported in our five-year Strategic Plan:
1. Address unmet needs by identifying and creating new programs and markets while expanding current services. Programs realized so far are The Bridge Center, College Navigator, and our Assistive Technology Van.
2. Generate sufficient revenue to fuel our mission by diversifying and strengthening income streams while practicing fiscal responsibility.
3. Be the recognized leader in disability services through increased visibility and brand awareness. We continue to demonstrate strong advocacy for the people we serve.
4. Promote a work environment of equity, diversity, and respect that attracts and enriches our workforce.
We look forward to working with our staff, board members, clients, sponsors, and volunteers to realize these goals.
Fundraising Opportunities
ESMA hosts Signature Fundraising Events and several supporting fundraisers throughout the year.
• Empowerment Celebration is our main fundraiser and annual award ceremony. Attendees learn about the past year’s accomplishments and meet some true champions of ESMA. There are sponsorship opportunities, a silent auction, and a fund-a-need. This fundraising event is held at a different location each year.
• Bridge to Opportunities Golf Classic welcomes golf enthusiasts to tee off in support of the disability community and ESMA programs. With opportunities to golf, sponsor, or volunteer, this annual tournament is held in July at Olde Scotland Links in Bridgewater. Proceeds from the 2025 golf classic will support the restoration of the swimming pool at our Bridgewater campus.
• Move With Me is a year-long, all-inclusive opportunity for supporters to get moving to raise awareness and funds for the essential programs at Easterseals Massachusetts. ESMA is proud to partner with organizations and dedicated donors for fundraisers such as softball, volleyball, cornhole, and other creative activities. The possibilities are endless.
Giving Opportunities
ESMA relies on the generosity of individuals and corporate partners to support and maintain our critical programs. Here are some of the ways that you or your business can ensure that our clients have equal opportunities to live, learn, work, and play:
• Empowerment Circle: Make an ongoing difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities by joining the monthly giving Empowerment Circle:
– Assistive Technology helps people live more independently.
– College Navigator gives personalized support to college students with disabilities.
– Job Development & Placement helps people build skills and thrive in the workforce.
– Youth Leadership & Mentoring promotes self-advocacy and self-awareness.
• Mission Partnerships: Target your philanthropic efforts with an individually designed Mission Partnership. This investment includes a year-long sponsorship acknowledgment, tickets to special events, employee engagements, and fulfillment reports.
• Matching Corporate Gifts: Double your investment and impact by checking to see if your business provides matching gifts.
• Giving Tuesday and other Fundraising Campaigns: Many individuals give during special fundraising efforts held in November. ESMA is grateful for philanthropic support during the holiday season and throughout the year.
Volunteer Opportunities
We could not achieve our goals without the help of our amazing corporate and individual volunteers. We are grateful for the time our volunteers put into carrying out the ESMA Mission. We offer a variety of opportunities to suit different interests and time commitments. Here are some of the ways that you can feel the power of giving back:
• State and Regional Boards of Directors: ESMA has a State and four Regional Boards in Boston, Bridgewater, Central, and Western. The boards are comprised of individuals who want to make a greater impact on the disability community in their roles as Easterseals ambassadors.
• Special Event Volunteers: We welcome individuals and employee groups who want to assist us in running large events.
• Programs and Projects: Volunteers are needed for a wide range of programs for all ages, The Bridge Center TeamWork Days, and other projects based on their skills.
