The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations has granted its Golden Seal of Quality Approval to AdCare Hospital of Worcester, re-accrediting the hospital for a period of three years.
Accreditation reflects the hospital and its laboratories’ compliance with national patient care standards set by the commission. AdCare’s laboratories were given re-accreditation for a two-year period.
Obtaining re-accreditation from the commission required a four-day, on-site observation during which commission representatives tracked patients through care and interviewed staff and patients.
AdCare Hospital specializes in drug and alcohol abuse treatments and has six outpatient facilities throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
