Personal income and disposable personal income both increased 0.2 percent in July, according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.
The personal income gain was about $30 billion. The gain in disposable income was about $17.6 billion.
Consumer spending increased 0.4 percent, or about $44 billion, after a $2.7 billion decrease in June.
