Longtime Worcester aerospace manufacturer David Clark Co. has a new home.
The buildout of the company’s new 145,000-square-foot headquarters at 125 Northeast Cutoff has been completed, R.P. Masiello, Inc. announced Monday. The Boylston-based firm served as construction manager for the project.
The renovation of the building involved bringing it back down to its concrete structure, with new manufacturing, assembly, and testing suites and engineering labs being built inside, according to Masiello. David Clark Co. has begun a phased move-in to the building, according to its website.
“This was a special project from the start,” David Masiello, president of Masiello, said in the announcement. “It had challenging structural and mechanical aspects which we worked through. Plus, knowing that it was all for the future of an historic company that’s literally been to the moon and back was pretty awesome.”

New utility and environmental control systems support the 300 specialized machines used by David Clark Co. in production and testing of its products. The company has produced space suits for every NASA program, including the Artemis II mission in April, which was the first crewed fly-by of the moon since 1972.
Features at the building include an acoustic testing space that recreates the noise of a fighter jet taking off from the deck of an aircraft carrier, used to test the company’s line of headsets. An advanced HVAC system in the building required additional structural work on the building’s roof and will allow David Clark Co. to meet specific filtration specifications required for its manufacturing processes.
David Clark Co. purchased the site for $19 million in 2024, saying at the time the project was expected to reach upwards of $48 million.
The new site replaces the firm’s existing headquarters at 360 Franklin St. David Clark Co. still owns that site and has not announced its plans for the complex, which it has occupied since 1963.
Semiconductor manufacturer Allegro Microsystems had used 125 Northeast Cutoff of its headquarters until 2018, when it moved to Marlborough.
David Berryman of Newbury Design Associates in Foxborough served as the architect for the new headquarters, with Mark David of Grafton-based M. David Co. LLC serving as project manager.
