Worcester-based Crescent Innovations has been awarded theĀ Kalenian Award by the Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s Venture Forum.
Crescent was awarded $25,000 in prize money the company said it would be used to help develop new technology for treating bone defects.
The Kalenian Award was established in 2006 in memory of Aram Kalenian, a member of WPI’s class of 1933. The award provides seed funds to support and advance the ideas and inventiveness of WPI students, faculty and alumni.
Crescent develops treatments for bone defects like TMJ, degenerative joint disease, bone disease and fractures.
