Maynard contractor and construction management firm J.M. Coull has begun work on the northeast regional marine fisheries office of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Gloucester.
The 97,000-square-foot, two-building complex will house office suites and fisheries operations including statistics, habitat conservation and restoration and protected resources departments.
The project also includes a fisheries museum, laboratories and seafood inspection areas.
Coull expects the project to be complete the end of May 2008.
