The city of New Britain, Conn. is expected to save 15 percent on its electricity costs after taking part in an online energy auction run by Worcester-based World Energy Solutions Inc.
World Energy operates online exchanges for energy and energy-related products.
New Britain is just west of Hartford, and completed its first World Energy auction not long after the state government’s recent World Energy auction success.
