Clark awarded EPA research grant

Clark University in Worcester was recently awarded a $677,499 grant from the Environmental Protection Agency to help study methods of measuring chemical exposure in pregnant women.

The work, which will be done in partnership with Columbia University, will help determine the connection between measured biomarkers in blood and urine samples and levels of chemical exposure, the EPA said.

The grant is one of five nationwide awarded by the EPA to study the phenomenon.
