St. Louis, Mo.-based Charter Communications Inc. reported first quarter revenue of $1.6 billion and net income of $545 million, 9.8 and 9.9 percent increases, respectively, over the same period a year ago.
The company said the increases were mostly in telephone and high-speed Internet revenues, and that the 7 percent growth in “revenue generating units” in its video segment was the greatest increase since 2003.
