CFO mentoring uncommon

Aspiring young accountants with eyes on a CFO job will likely negotiate their career paths alone. A new study by Menlo Park, Calif.-based Accountemps found that 58 percent of CFOs said it is uncommon for new hires to be assigned mentors, either formally or informally. About 13 percent said it was very common. Twenty-five percent said it was somewhat common.
