1. Expand the scope and depth of the vocational program by increasing access to meaningful, real-world job experiences for students.
2. Expand the CORE program by increasing Community-, Home-, and Center-based support options to better meet the needs of families.
3. Increase the organization’s service area beyond Worcester County by expanding into additional communities through new locations, such as Bolton and Auburn, to reach those in need.
4. Create professional development pathways with leading universities, such as Assumption University, to support staff growth and help develop the next generation of special education teachers.
5. To cultivate a donor-centered giving program that deepens engagement, builds long-term relationships, and ensures enduring financial stability
6. Strengthen partnership with the UMass Fellows Program to provide more in-depth analysis and support of student goals and outcomes.
Fundraising Opportunities
CABI offers meaningful, high-impact ways to support our mission while connecting with our community. Our annual CABI Achieves Golf Tournament brings together sponsors, players, and donors through sponsorship opportunities, foursomes, and exciting auction and raffle contributions.
Our signature Partners in Possibilities event invites individuals and organizations to engage through sponsorships, ticket purchases, and direct giving—while experiencing the powerful impact of our programs firsthand.
Supporters can also join Team CABI at the Falmouth Road Race, combining personal achievement with purpose by fundraising and running to advance opportunities for our students.
Additionally, our vocational program creates unique partnerships through sponsorships, mentorship, and real-world learning experiences that directly benefit those we serve.
Together, these opportunities empower donors, businesses, and community members to make a lasting difference—helping students build independence, confidence, and meaningful life skills.
Giving Opportunities
CABI offers multiple ways for individuals, families, and businesses to support our students throughout the year. We conduct annual appeals in the winter and spring, engaging donors through both direct outreach and digital campaigns. Online donations are welcomed year-round, providing an accessible way for supporters to contribute at any time.
We also rely on in-kind donations to enhance our student programs. Current needs include clothing, classroom materials, and specialized supplies that directly support daily learning and student well-being. Additionally, we welcome contributions to support extracurricular activities such as our student Prom and Fall Harvest Festival, which provide meaningful social and community-building experiences.
Volunteer Opportunities
CABI offers meaningful volunteer opportunities for businesses and community members to directly support students in our vocational and transition programs. Volunteers enhance real-world learning by sharing their time, skills, and expertise.
Partners can engage through small group visits, career exploration, and hands-on experiences that introduce diverse career pathways. Opportunities also include supporting student-led initiatives such as our dental clinic program, providing haircuts, sharing musical talents, and participating in inclusive social opportunities that foster connection and community engagement.
These experiences help prepare students for life after graduation by building confidence, job readiness, and independence. Volunteer involvement also strengthens our transition program, focused on preparing older students for adulthood and employment.
Opportunities are flexible, ranging from one-time experiences to ongoing partnerships or mentorship roles. Through these connections, volunteers make a lasting impact while strengthening CABI’s connection to the community.
