National unemployment may still be in double digits, but almost 60 percent of workers that have been laid off in the last year have found new work, according to CareerBuilder.
The survey by the job search company included more than 1,000 workers who in November had been laid off within the past 12 months. Just over half of the respondents said they had found full-time work since being laid off, which is a 3 percent increase from June 2009. About 7 percent of respondents said they had found part-time work.
Sixty-one percent of workers said they had found jobs with comparable or even higher wages than the job they were laid off from.
