Boylston-based Pappas Prime Properties is proposing a 28-unit apartment building for a lot near Worcester’s Lincoln Plaza.
The new apartment building would replace an existing single family home at 22 Goldthwaite Road, across the street from an entrance to the 153-unit Ledgewood Court Apartments. Pappas seeks to build a five-story apartment building with enclosed parking on the first floor.
Pappas has filed a notice of intent with the Worcester Conservation Commission for the project, with part of the development occurring in a stormwater protection zone.
Plans for the apartment call for four EV chargers and interior bike storage areas.
The apartment building will share an exterior parking lot with 20 Goldthwaite St., the site of a three-family house that will remain after the project. The roughly half-acre site at 22 Goldthwaite Road is owned by Nicholas Pappas, while the quarter-acre plot at 20 Goldthwaite Road is owned by James Pappas.
Nicholas Pappas purchased 22 Goldthwaite Road for $350,000 in 2022, while James Pappas has owned 20 Goldthwaite Road since at least 1988, according to City of Worcester property records.
Nikita Shugrue of Thompson-Liston Associates in Boylston is serving as civil engineer for the project.
WCC’s next meeting is scheduled for Sep. 10. The agenda for that meeting has yet to be released.
