Health care provider Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts will implement Framingham-based Netezza software to power its business intellignece processes, the company said today.
Blue Cross will implement the Netezza Performance Server, which should enable its IT department to extract and load information for membership and subscription analysis up to 50 times faster than their current system allows, according to Netezza.
Steve Booma, executive vice president of sales, marketing, service and IT for Blue Cross Blue Shield, said the new system will help improve customer service and keep costs down.
