BJ’s Wholesale Club has named an executive from Walmart and the Gap to serve as the Marlborough-based wholesale retailer’s next chief merchandising officer.
Stephanie Reibling joined BJ’s on Wednesday, the company announced. Reibling most recently served as senior vice president, general merchandise manager at the Sam’s Club division of Walmart. In the role, she oversaw merchandising for the wholesale retailer’s clubs and e-commerce, including apparel, home, and toy products.
Reibling replaces Rachael Vegas, who served in the CMO role from October 2021 until this past October, according to her LinkedIn profile. Vegas now serves as chief commercial officer for Walgreens, headquartered in Illinois.
Reibling held several leadership roles at Walmart, based in Arkansas, including as its vice president of sports and outdoors, according to her LinkedIn.
Before that, she worked as a director of merchandising at San Francisco-based Gap for nearly six years.
Reibling graduated with her bachelor’s degree from University of Michigan and earned her master’s degree from Columbia Business School in New York.
Bob Eddy, BJ’s chairman, president, and CEO, is the fourth highest-paid CEO in Central Massachusetts, according to the WBJ Research Department. In fiscal 2024, Eddy brought home $13.6 million in total compensation.
