Biotech Builders Group, a Lunenburg construction firm focused on building out life science spaces, has expanded its operations through the purchase of a 9,162-square-foot industrial building in Clinton.
BBG closed on the sale on Dec. 30, purchasing the site from an entity managed by N&T Mechanical Contractors owner Tim Nickerson, according to Worcester District Registry of Deeds records.Â
Veteran-founded N&T Mechanical Contractors previously consolidated its operations to a site in Sterling, after purchasing an industrial site there for $4.25 million in August.
BBG was founded in 2016 and is led by Eric Lahti, who previously served as a superintendent at other construction firms, including Boston-based Skanska USA Building, according to his LinkedIn profile. Â
BBG has been involved in more than 375 projects, according to its website, constructing cooler towers, cold rooms, and other infrastructure and facilities used by life science firms.
Located at 180 Stone St., the property features an industrial building first built in 1978. The 1.84-acre site received a 2026 tax assessment value of $807,100, according to Town of Clinton property records.
N&T had purchased the site for $725,000 in 2022.
Nate Nickerson of Fieldstone Commercial Properties in Littleton represented N&T in this transaction, according to a press release from Fieldstone.Â
