Lexington’s so-called “Big Dig House,” which was constructed with material recycled from the Big Dig highway project in Boston, is up for sale.
The 4,000-square-foot home is said to weight three times what a normal home weighs, and features several luxury and high-tech touches, according to broker William Raveis Real Estate Mortgage & Insurance.
The home is scheduled to be filmed for a spot on the Discovery Channel next month, and has won two international design awards and a residential architecture award from the Boston Society of Architects.
