The Massachusetts Bar Association and Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly are honoring a Worcester attorney as part of their annual Excellence in the Law Lawyers of the Year celebration.
Christine S. Collins, an attorney at Bowditch & Dewey in Worcester will be honored at the Feb. 5 event for her handling of a case of a woman who was denied extra time on her medical board examination in order to take “lactation breaks.”
Other honorees include state Attorney General Martha Coakley, who will be recognized for her handling of Big Dig cases; Boston attorney Michael Mone, whose clients include former New England Patriots coach Charlie Weis; and Cynthia Simison, managing editor of the Springfield Republican, who will be presented with the Excellence in Legal Journalism award.
