John A. Klein, president and CEO of Bridgeport-based People’s United Financial, is recovering from surgery after a recurrence of cancer. Klein reported that he is feeling well and will work from home beginning next week, though he has been in touch with other bank officers daily. Klein expects to return to the bank in October.
