AMSC Expects Revenue Growth, Profitability in 2008

Westborough-based American Superconductor Corp. said the growing wind energy market has the company on target for 2008 revenue exceeding $150 million.

The company reported revenue of $52 million in 2006 and expects to finish 2007 with revenue between $100 million and $110 million.

In addition to the wind power market, American Superconductor expects growth in its power grid business. The company makes power converters and high-temperature superconductor cables.
