Acton firm sells Salesforce consulting division to Toronto company

Toronto-based Lane Four has acquired Salesforce consulting firm Astralis from Acton-based Apps Associates.

Lane Four acquired Astralis to expand its presence among Salesforce partners and sellers, the company announced Aug. 4. The acquisition will grow Lane Four’s headcount from 85 to more than 120 employees.

Astralis helps businesses set up, customize, and improve Salesforce software for managing sales, customer service, pricing, billing, and contracts. It also connects Salesforce with a company’s other business systems to reduce manual work and keep data in one place.

Financial terms of the purchase were not disclosed. 

Astralis focuses on Salesforce consulting and implementation for high-tech manufacturers and medical device companies. 

Apps Associates rebranded its Salesforce practice as Astralis in 2025. Astralis has implemented over 500 projects across multiple sectors, according to Apps Associates.

Apps Associates was founded in 2002 and provides IT consulting and outsourcing, cloud services, and enterprise resource planning. The firm had about 1,350 employees as of 2025, according to data firm PitchBook.

Salesforce is a cloud-based software platform businesses use to manage customer information, sales leads, service requests and marketing activity. The company launched in 1999 and has more than 150,000 customers worldwide, according to Salesforce.

Spain-based Alantra served as a financial adviser for both firms in the transaction.
